OFFICE OF THE REGIONAL MINISTER
MANDATE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE REGIONAL MINISTER
The President shall, in accordance with Article 256 of the
Constitution, appoint for each region, a Minister of State who shall be
known as the Regional Minister for that region.
The Regional Minister;
(a) represent the President in the region;
(b) be responsible for the co-ordination and direction of the
administrative machinery in the region; and
(c) perform any other functions delegated by the President.
(3) The President may, in consultation with the Minister of State for a region and with the prior approval of Parliament, appoint for the region, a Deputy Minister or Deputy Ministers to perform functions as the President may determine
ABOUT, EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold is the Central Regional Minister, prior to this position, she served as the Municipal Chief Executive for Agona west Municipal Assembly, 2017-2021.
She held various positions in the new patriotic party at both constituency and regional level in the central region as a result of her hard work and dedication to the activities of the party.
These positions include a polling station agent,women organizer,and deputy constituency organizer for the party in agona west constituency and a deputy regional women’s organizer In the central region.she was appointed as a government appointee at the agona west municipal assembly in 2017 before her elevation to the position of the municipal chief executive.
Hon Justina Marigold Assan is a professional Teacher. She attended Ola College of Education, Cape Coast where she obtained 3 Year Cert ‘A’, she then proceeded to the University of Education, Winneba for her 1st and 2nd Degree, Bachelor of Education Degree in Home Economics and Master of Philosophy (Mphil) Home Economics.
She is a strong advocate for women empowerment and has made a lot of presentations on this at local and international conferences. Also, she has mentored a lot of girls who are now doing very well in several fields.
Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan is married with three (3) children.At her leisure,she enjoys reading, sewing, participating in seminars and cooking.
