The Parliamentary service of Ghana is 30years and as part of this, series of line up programs will be put in place to mark the event.

A team from the service who paid a courtesy call on the Regional Minister, Honourable Justina Marigold Assan, but were welcomed by the Chief Director, Mr. Kingsley Aghei-Boahene at the conference room of Central Regional Coordinating Council (CRCC), Cape Coast. They indicated that 30years of Parliamentary service of uninterrupted military destruction was something to reckon with in democracy.

The team informed that the event is replicated in all the 16 Regions to put the public on per-review of Parliamentary service to the Nation. They also, outline some few activities that will be taking place in the Central Region, precisely Cape Coast.

They indicated that there will be a public forum in Takoradi which will host the speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin and some prominent people.

Back in Cape Coast there will be a mock Parliament to feature some selected schools to coach them on Parlimentary procedures as a form of future preparation.

The team further inform the house that the Speaker of Parliament will pay a courtesy call on the Omanhen, Osabarima Kwesi Attah II of Cape Coast Paramountcy on the 6th August, 2023. The Speaker will also pay a courtesy call on the Chief of Esicado on the 7th August, 2023.

On the 9th August they indicated that there will be a Youth Parliament also to take place in Cape Coast with the Regional Minister hosting the mock Parliament in the Region as well.

The team finally informed that there will be all arrangements and programs lined up with the Central Regional Coordinating Council being the host to be further announced.

Present at the meeting were; the Head of Public Affairs of the CRCC, some admin Officers of CRCC, the Regional Information Officer(ISD), a rep from the National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE) and a rep from the Ghana Police Service in the Central Region.
