The newly posted Chief Director of the Central Regional Coordinating Council (CRCC) Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako has paid his third week working visit to Assin North, Assin Fosu and the Assin South Municipal and District Assemblies.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarise with the staff of the Assembly and solicit for their support during his tenure of office.
Addressing the staff at the various Assemblies, Mr. Owusu Amoako reiterated on the habit of gossiping but urged them to support each other at all times.
According to him the habit of colleagues gossiping about others is hampering service delivery at the various Assemblies in Assin enclave and therefore called on all those who feel they have been relegated to the background to channel their grievances to the appropriate authorities instead of backbiting and undermining their colleagues.
He called on staff in the various Assemblies to ensure prompt submission of reports to the Region. According to him a number of Districts failed to submit their reports during the District Performance Assessment Tools (DPAT) and it had affected their performance. The Chief Director however commended the Assin Assemblies for adhering to rules in the service which passed them in the assessment.
He also warned against the leakage of official documents to the media in the bid to tarnish the image of the various Chief Executives as such an action will end up tarnishing the image of the assemblies as a whole.
Mr. Owusu Amoako called on the Co-ordinating Directors to put together a technical team that will solicit for support to enable the Assemblies deliver on their mandates.
He promised to ensure that those who were due for promotion were to be prepared for interview promoted on time.
The Chief Director had earlier visited the Mfantsiman Municipal Assembly. He was accompanied by the Head of Public Affairs Unit at the Regional Co-ordinating Council, Mr. Tally Ansah Asiedu and Miss Erica Hammond- Affadzie, an Assistant Director at the Council.
