Welcoming all MMDCEs and MMDCDs to the signing, the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan urged all MMDCEs to abide by the rules and tenets of the contract and also called on all MMDCDs to endeavor to adhere to the contracts signed.

The Chief Director of the Central Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Kingsley Agyei-Boahene indicated that this year’s purpose of gathering was to bind all assigned Officers (MMDCEs) in the region to acknowledge their assigned roles by government.

Other discussions on Sanitation, Bye-Laws, Reactivation of Area Councils and Reduction of Audit infractions were also on highlight after the signing ceremony.

This is a yearly activity that mandates all 22 MMDCEs  and their MMDCDs to discharge their duties honorably as enshrined in the Local Governance Act 2016 (Act 936).
